CONTRIBUTE !Donations may be made by check or through PayPal (follow this link).
100% of your donation will be used to support the good works of youth in Washington County, Maine. The InspirationSimply put, the 5th - 8th grade students at Robbinston Grade School are the inspiration for The HAPPY Grant.
As part of the Positivity Nation in the Classroom curriculum , Lanette Pottle presented students with the following assignment: "Imagine a stranger gave you $10 and asked you to do the most good you could with it; what would you do?" The responses were astounding! Students addressed such issues as homelessness, poverty, and hunger as well as showing concern for the environment, veterans, elderly, cancer patients, animals, and even children in Africa! Generous grass-roots donations provided Pottle with the opportunity to help bring the students ideas to life. Two students were so empowered by the exercise that they planned & executed a fundraising event that raised over $350 for a local organization! Through the combined efforts of all the students, hundreds of people (and animals!) were impacted positively. Their work was heart-felt, and their efforts far-reaching.
